Distribution
Approximately 70% LaborMed Pharma sales on the Romanian market is handled using our own distribution network. It provides enhanced access for pharmacies and patients to our products, including 8 cities which ensures national coverage and direct contact with about 3,500 pharmacies and 400 hospitals.
The company's distribution division was developed as a strategic solution to promote LaborMed Pharma products business-related policies. In the 90's, the rules applied to domestic pharmaceutical products pricing and the level of the related mark-ups determined the distributors of pharmaceutical products to focus mainly on imported products. That is why, some of the most important local producers chose to develop their own distribution networks to allow patients' access to their products, while preserving direct communication channels and control over the patients interfaces - using the pharmacies. In this context, LaborMed Pharma's Distribution Division was born and focused mainly on distributing company's products, while other products accounted for a small share of the turnover. Additionally, on the highly competitive Romanian market, distribution based on direct contact with customers, is in itself a competitive advantage for the company. Therefore, LaborMed Pharma's Distribution Division can also be seen as a distinctive business. It is a critical tool in implementing the company's marketing strategy regarding distribution channels management resulting from string vertical integration.
LaborMed Pharma products are promoted by a marketing and sales team of about 80 sales and medical representatives.
